Colnago Vintage Road Bicycle. However, my triathlon days have been over for quite a number of years, so it’s time to sell. This is a beautiful looking bicycle and a dream to ride, with all original parts and components. The frame is 53 cm and is flame red columbus steel with a Colnago chrome front fork. I’m 5′ 10 and this frame fits me perfectly and will easily accommodate taller or shorter riders. The frame has two beautiful chrome lugs on the front steering post and two shift levers on the downtube that shifts easily and precisely. The front two gears are 53 and 42, while the rear seven gears are 11 thru 17. Yes, this bike was geared for racing, but when shifted into the taller gears you can easily pedal all day on the sunny afternoon. All the components on the bike are the original Campagnolo Super Record. The handle bar is made by Cinelli and the seat post is the original one by Colnago. The brake pads were recently replaced. The seat is a Avocet Mountain M30, which has a little bit of padding. The wheels are the Araya Aero 1, “v” shaped rims with 28 flat areo spokes. The rims have been checked and are perfectly round. The tires are the Vittoria tubeless rally tires that are brand new with no mileage on them. Please note: they have NOT been glued to the rims. I will however include two tubes of tire glue. Whoever buys this bike may want to use different tires and this will save you the time and effort of cleaning the old glue off the rims, which has already been done. Just let me know. The pedals are old school with shoe cages on them. They worked well for me so I never changed them. The chain and gears have all been cleaned and degreased and therefore should be lubricated before riding. This is a wonderful bike to ride. The columbus steel keeps the frame stiff and the light weight allows for very quick acceleration. There are a few nicks on the frame, but nothing major for its age. Because of this, some very simple assembly will be required when the bike arrives.
