Alec Bird a lightweight Frame builder form UK London area building frame sets in the mid to late 1960s and and on, The Shop he manage and made frames for was later absorbed by Holdsworth Cycles. Frame Set Size: Seat tube 53.5cm Center to Center or 55cm Center to Top with a 55cm center to center top tube, with a 120mm head tube. Frame and Fork are Reynolds 531 Steel Tubes with Campagnolo Dropouts. The 1 Threaded Fork has 100mm Spacing and the Frame has 126mm Rear Spacing. Frame & Fork ++ is British / ISO Standard. Frame has Cool Lugs and internal cable routing and suspect this was from the early 1980s. Frame set is Used, The paint real Cool Sparklely candy blue & white Rainbow Flakes. It has nice logos and looks plausible for original paint, but suspect the rainbow flake paint is a later paint technique thus assuming the frame set a repaint or possibly a later built Alec Bird. Frame has Some Scratches, Knicks and Blemishes from being Used. There is not allot out there on Alec Bird and possibly why some one went to repaint and went all in with a spectacular paint job.
