After ending his cycling career Gianni Motta started manufacturing race bicycles. This particular bicycle is a Gianni Motta Personal from 1979. The’Personal’ is a high end craftsmanship machine with pantographed details on the frame , fork and with particular features typical only to Gianni Motta bicycles. Among them one can notice the aero brake bridge; the particular fork crown and seat stay caps. The paint on this bike is original with very few blemishes on the paint. The chrome on rear stay has some visible spots where it has jumped off. I can take care of the re chroming of the right chain stay if the customer wishes so. The color (light yellow) is actually a Patina effect on the original cream color. This can be seen as a sun tan mark when removing the front derailleur. But the actual color is uniform and beautiful. The bicycle is fitted with mint condition Campagnolo Super Record group set Patent 1979. The 3T stem , and large chain ring are Gianni Motta pantographed. The bicycle received a thorough clean up and a complete mechanical overhaul. I have decided to keep the original brake cables and shifter cables as they are in very good condition.
