1986 Daccordi Original 57CM Bike- MINT Campy Hi-E Hubs
Moving on a beauty from my private collection. This is a pristine 1986-/+ Daccordi Original with “original” paint. If you know, you know. The Originals were customer spec frame builds in their factory in Tuscany that has been around since 1937 (think Project One on steroids). The tubes are very rare crimped Oria Stellare but marked Columbus SL, Daccordi didn’t keep a full inventory of tubing decals back in the day. Per the factory, . The Original was a high-end frame, and it was the first winning bike on the Mortirolo mountain thanks to Leonardo Sierra. If you don’t know the Mortirolo, it’s a crazy steep climb of 12 km at 11% average. 57cm frame, 56 C-C top tube. 126mm rear spacing. 15cm top tube. Campy group with index shifters. 172.5 cranks with 52/42 rings. Mint Cinelli stem and bars. NOS 36h FIR Rigel’s laced to a mint set of Hi-E hubs/skewers with a Dura Ace 12-21 freewheel. New Conti Gatorskin tubulars. White Turbo saddle, needs polished/stained to be 10/10ths. A couple minor marks on the frame. I rate it a 9.5/10. Missing one of the white top plugs on one of the brake lever hoods.
