Gios Torino Super Record – 1978. 56cm seat tube x 55cm top tube (c-c). Campagnolo Nuovo Record Groupset. The Gios Torino Super Record ridden by Roger De Vaeminck was the main rival of the Colnago or De Rosa of “The Cannibal” Eddy Merckx. Under Brooklyn Team colours, the Gios Torino were racing the grand tours of the classic era. This particular bicyle is a very well conserved Gios Super Record from exactly that era. The bicycle has the original paint and decals with a few paint chips where the bare metal can be seen. This version is the flat fork crown with the Gios coins on each of the fork’s shoulders. The bicycle was found with several Nuovo Record parts such as the seatpost and rear derailleur. I decided to complete the groupset. The headset is the aluminium Super Record version. The wheels are Mavic Monthlery Route 36h tubulars with vintage tubulars that aren’t glued to the rim. The groupset is in good to very good condition. Headset: Campagnolo Super Record.
