1985 BIANCHI CENTENARIO 58 cm Campagnolo C Record wBox Papers Eroica RARE BIKE. Offered is a rare limited edition 1985 Bianchi Centenario racing bicycle with box, owner’s manual, and paperwork. The Centenario was built to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Biancihi Bicycles. It features top-of-the-line, specially pantographed Campagnolo C-Record components and a special “Black Nickel” (black chrome) finish. I will start off by stating that this example does not have the Campagnolo “sheriff’s star” high flange hubs, Mavic GL330 rims, or Vittoria CG tubular tires. The wheels are a less exotic (but more practical) Campagnolo low-flange hubset with Mavic MP40 clincher rims. Also, I don’t have the special jersey or bike bag. With that said, what we have here is a beautiful example of this rare machine. The finish has only one significant spot of oxidation – on the inside of the left seat stay. There are some small blemishes elsewhere but very minor. The components are beautiful, with only minimal wear. The pump has chrome flaking and pitting on the plastic body and one leg is broken on the head; the leather shows minor wear. I have written it myself literally one time around the block just for the experience. I have not had the bike apart nor done any detailing. It presents very well indeed as is and will be even better with only minimal attention. Please look the photographs over closely and consider them part of the description.
