Hydraulic Disc Brake and Lever (Shifter and Brake). The Campagnolo Super Record Wireless control lever is efficient and effective, thanks to the new shape of the control body that allows for a comfortable firm high grip. The brake lever has been redesigned to make it easier to reach in low grip, while still maintaining Campagnolo style and design. The position of the brake lever can also be adjusted so that it is perfectly within reach and suits cyclists’ needs, adapting to any kind of handlebar and any hand size. The absence of wires and cables makes it easy to install and the battery has an incredibly long life thanks to the very sophisticated firmware that manages all this component’s electronics. The shifting buttons are the perfect balance between force used and tactile feedback, allowing cyclists to feel when a gear shifts. They can also be customized using the MyCampy 3.0 app, associating them with the front and rear derailleur according to personal preference. The Super Record brake calipers ensure powerful braking that can be regulated in any situation thanks to their 22mm diameter phenolic resin pistons. Pad return has now been optimized to ensure there is no friction when the brake lever is released. A special metal plate, positioned between the pad and the caliper piston, cushions the vibrations during braking. Super Record Wireless controls can be used for up to 2 years without replacing the battery. Controls can be turned off with a switch that is hidden but easy to reach inside the body of the controls. LED inside the body of the controls acts as a visual alarm to indicate that the battery needs charging and the charge level can be checked using the MyCampy3.0 app. Shifting buttons positioned on the brake lever to guarantee easy access for all cyclists, when pedaling with either a high or low grip. When the chain engages immediately, the front and rear derailleurs can be actioned with minimum effort and in any position on the handlebars for super quick shifting. Multi-Shifting feature instantly finds the right combination for an unexpected climb or sudden sprint thanks to the multiple actions of the controls. Caliper is fully compatible with flat-mount frames. 22mm phenolic resin pistons provide exceptional braking force and thermal isolation. Pad wear indicators help to easily see when replacement is needed. Simply and easy pad replacement due to the absence of phyical return springs. Rounded brake pads facilitates disc insertion and speeds up wheel changing. Optimal braking without vibrations thanks to the Anti-vibration plate. Fits a rotor diameter of 160mm. Exquisite craftmanship, hand cut lugs, beautiful mono stay which is TIG welded/lugged. Amazing paint showing plenty of chips. Wish the original owner had taken more care of the paint but unable to undo what’s done. Some less than stellar touch ups. To the late great Ron Cooper, thank you for building this beautiful bike.
