1973 Ghisallo road bike completely restored with custom paint and upgraded components. All what was left of headbadge decal was Verona Italy. Since the restoration it was discovered to be a Ghisallo, imported to a Carolina bike boom shop. Still may have been built by Chesini. Headbadge design is quite similar and it is a fine built frame for a boom bike. Last two photos show similarities of period headbadges but not actual headbadge on bike. Size is 23″ with a 33 3/4″ standover. Top tube is 22 ctc. Tubing may or may not be Columbus as decaled. Lightweight but not butted high end. 26.4 seatpost is a Campagnolo two bolt copy. Frame and fork were sandblasted, etch primed, urethane primed, perfectly sanded and automotive basecoat/clearcoat finish applied. Colors are charcoal metallic, red pearl candy, with gold painted lug and panel lining. Decals are not cleared over and can be removed if not acceptable or to be replaced by correct Ghisallo ones. Components were chosen to be period correct and 90% Italian. Campagnolo Velox rear derailleur. Campagnolo Nuovo Record front derailleur. Campagnolo Gran Sport shifters. Gipiemme polished crankset with NOS 52/42 rings. New stainless 14g spokes laced to new Sun CR 18 polished rims. New Panaracer 27×1 tires and tubes. Giro d Italia bars and stem. Ballila center pull brakes with new gum hoods. New chain, headset, cables/housing, cotton bar wrap. Bike is “ready to ride” or display condition with no scratches or nicks. Professionally applied finish is perfect.

Up for sale is a beautiful Litespeed Ghisallo that was built up and never ridden. Truly a dream build. All carbon, titanium and Campagnolo. Bike measures 19 center bb to seat tube. Due to the sloping geometry this is more along the size of a medium. The Zipp 303 tubulars with tires come in sub 1700g. It is about as light as you can get without going full carbon components. Really an amazing base build and could be tastefully upgraded along the way to become a modern dream build. Little to no miles on the build but the bar tape needs replaced as it’s gotten dirty from age. Ready to ride with some carbon brake pads.
