Built this bike as an homage to an Italian race bike. Franco Kanan Carbon frameset, from a small California company. Stack 588 and Reach 390. Campagnolo Record groupset with Campagnolo Scirocco wheelset. 3T cockpit and seatpost with Selle Italia Saddle. Bike has not been raced since 2017 as my old age and weight has shifted me to a gravel bike and nostaliga has kept it in my possesion but it’s time that someone else rides it. Bike components are worth more total asking price.

Ron Cooper Hand Built Road Bike 19.5” 49.53cm c-t. 28.75” SO- Extended head tube. Campagnolo Record Titanium 9 spd components in lovely condition / Chris King headset/ Campagnolo Nucleon tubular wheelset. Exquisite craftmanship, hand cut lugs, beautiful mono stay which is TIG welded/lugged. Amazing paint showing plenty of chips. Wish the original owner had taken more care of the paint but unable to undo what’s done. Some less than stellar touch ups. To the late great Ron Cooper, thank you for building this beautiful bike. Below is some history on Romic custom built bikes that were built in Texas by Ray Gasiorowski from the mid seventies through the early nineties. Ray Gasiorowski worked at the Schwinn factory in Chicago and was close to Rudy Schwinn, one of the old school European engineers that helped make Schwinn the quality name it was. Ray worked as a bicycle design and products engineer. Schwinn actually help fund his industrial engineering studies at IIT Institute. He was involved with Paramount frame building. Ray was a first line racer in Chicago. Ray rode in the Vuelta de Mexico, and was a finalist in Olympic trials back in the’50’s. He also raced the “Tour of Somerville” (New Jersey) and did well in it. His army service took him to Europe where he was sponsored by the Army to participate in the Olympic road trials. Ray left Schwinn and went to the AMF corporation to head up their production team through the early 70’s. After deciding to forge out on his own he spent a couple years getting the logistics in order to open up a shop. During that time he consulted in Russia on a bicycle startup endeavor. His expertise in high quality building techniques and a great eye for efficient building systems made him an invaluable resource that many sought out over the years.
