Ultra rare stunning Colnago Oval CX. Professional road racing bike. Columbus Oval CX tubing. Seat tube: 55cm c-c. Top tube: 56cm c-c. Special 20.0mm pantographed seat post. Campagnolo 50th Anniversary Record, #4188. Crank arm set: Campagnolo 50th Anniversary Record, 170mm, 53/42, #4188. Shifters: Campagnolo 50th Anniversary Record. Front derraileur: Campagnolo 50th Anniversary Record. Rear derraileur: Campagnolo 50th Anniversary Record. Note: Aero mounted shifters with internal routing in down tube. Hubs: Campagnolo 50th Anniversary Record. Brakes: Campagnolo 50th Anniversary Record. Brake levers: Campagnolo 50th Anniversary Record. Note: Aero mounted brake cable routing through handle bar & top tube. Goofy rear brake because of side change (left front in & right rear out) top tube routing in order to avoid friction due to cable bending. Top front entry was/is not stable on slim oval steel tubes. Pedal left: Campagnolo 50th Anniversary Record. Pedal right: Campagnolo Super Record. Note: Ernesto equipped this bike with the Campa 50th Anniversary group but was not allowed from Campagnolo to use a complete Anniversary group. So he had to change a detail. He selected to change the right Anniversary pedal to a Super Record pedal to avoid this requirement. Handle bar: Cinelli Giro d’ Italia, 40mm. Saddle: Vintage Selle San Marco, Concor Supercorsa, blue, black & yellow label. Rims: Blue Mavic SSC Special Service des Courses. Freewheel: Dura Ace MF-7400, 7 speed, 14-25. Chain: Dura Ace, UG narrow. Tires: Continental hand made tubular Sprinter. Shoe straps: Colnago, Brevettato blue. All original very good patina condition.
